The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 was signed on February 17th, 2009 by President Obama. The main goal of this act was
to improve education, job growth, and health around the country. This act made many changes in America. For example, it made it so schools around the United States were given over 90 billion dollars altogether in order to improve education for students. This act provided repair reliefs towards school in order to prevent layoffs, and cutbacks due to low budgets, money for low-income students, increased salaries for teachers, and enforced analysis on student tests scores around the country. This document was important because it allowed schools to focus on the education of their students rather than making they didn’t exceed their budget. More teachers were able to work, more students could afford schooling, and schools could provide the necessities to keep themselves running efficiently.
