Organization
Level of organization of power in current education.
The level of organization in the late 1800s and mid 1900s became much more complex by the late 1900s and 2000s. In the both time periods, there were schools located all around the country. However, in the earlier time period, the level of organization consisted of a teacher in the schoolhouse and the students. There might be a boss of all the teachers in a state or region, but that was not very likely. On the other hand, in the more recent time period, the level of organization of power in the education system is very complex. As seen on the left, there are over 60 different positions when it comes to working in the field of education. With the State Board of Education being the most powerful in this chart, one can tell how complicated the system now is. In addition to this, the schools now communicate nationwide. There is a state curriculum, and home-schooled children must also follow similar guidelines to public and private schools. The older time period seems care-free and unorganized compared to the current organization of power in the education system.
